Tottenham Hotspur announced another deal on Thursday morning ahead of their big Mateus Fernandes unveiling
Ahead of their signings of both Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, Tottenham announced the name that you will see the club’s players wear across their chest when they arrive at pre-season training this month.
Both midfielders, to be signed for a combined £185million once Tonali is announced in the next 48 hours, will get to work at Hotspur Way on July 10 with Roberto De Zerbi with the first batch of players back as neither have been involved at the World Cup this summer. On the players’ training tops they will wear a new sponsor after Spurs agreed a deal with Kaizen Gaming, the owner of the premium online sports betting and gaming brand Betano.
It is a three-year partnership but Betano will appear for one season only on the front of the training tops for the men’s first team. That is because from the 2027/28 season onwards, insurance firm AIA will switch from being Tottenham’s main front of match shirt sponsor to become their training wear partner instead.
Premier League clubs can no longer have gambling sponsors on the front of their match shirts from this season onwards after an agreement struck between all the sides three years ago. They are allowed on training wear and pitch-side LED boards as well as in stadium naming rights. Betano will not be on the training shirts sold by the club though for the coming season.

“We’re pleased to begin this long-term partnership with Betano as we look ahead to the start of a new football season with great excitement. From our earliest conversations, it was clear we had a shared vision for what a modern sports partnership should look like, one that creates unique experiences for our supporters while making a positive impact beyond football by striving to help enhance knowledge around responsible gambling,” said Ryan Norys, Spurs’ chief revenue officer.
Julio Iglesias, chief commercial officer at Kaizen Gaming, added: “Tottenham Hotspur is one of the world’s most recognised football clubs, combining sporting ambition with a global fanbase and one of the Premier League’s most influential digital platforms. Both Tottenham Hotspur and Kaizen Gaming share the same belief that the strongest partnerships create value far beyond brand visibility; they create better experiences for supporters.
“This partnership marks another important milestone in Betano’s long-term investment in European football and the Premier League. As we continue to expand internationally, Tottenham Hotspur’s global reach, digital leadership and ambitious outlook make the club an ideal partner for the next stage of our growth. We look forward to building a successful partnership together over the next three years.”
