A Minnesota Twins prospect saved the day when he helped a child who fainted in the heat before a minor league baseball game.
On a warm evening in St. Paul, Minnesota, the Twins’ Triple-A affiliate – the St. Paul Saints – were facing the Buffalo Bisons.
Before the game began, the players and some local children stood on the field as the national anthem played.
But a boy, named Lincoln, began swaying in the sun and heat and began to start fainting.
This was noticed by the Twins’ top prospect, Walker Jenkins, who managed to keep the child from falling to the ground.
Jenkins eventually scooped up the child in his arms and ran him to the dugout to receive medical attention.

Thankfully, the boy was fine and left the game with one of Jenkins’ T-Shirts
According to local station KSTP, the team says the child had been outside in the sun all day and was dehydrated.
After Jenkins got the boy to the dugout, medical staff examined him and got him cooled down.
While the boy was okay, medics advised him not to go back outside so he was forced to miss the rest of the game.
However, Lincoln did get to leave the game with a T-shirt with Jenkins’ name and number.
Jenkins had an excellent day at the plate – batting 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and three runs scored – as the Saints won 12-6.
