At least four people have been killed and multiple others are injured following an explosion near the Palace of Justice in Damascus, Syria, according to state media.
The blast occurred inside a café on Al-Nasser Street in the Al-Marjah district of the city centre, leaving 10 people injured, the Syrian ministry of health said.
The café is in the vicinity of the Palace of Justice, which is near the Hejaz railway station and the city’s bustling public square, Al-Marjah Square. Security forces have set up a cordon around the site, reports Al Jazeera.
The cause of the explosion remains unknown at this stage.
