Kane Cornes has continued to fan the flames of his feud with former colleague Nathan Brown.
The pair have been long-term foes and have been trading on-air barbs regularly following their boxing match in 2024.
This time, Cornes has claimed that Brown has been ‘muzzled’ with his Media-Ocre segment on Nine’s Sunday Footy Show.
On Monday he had offered up an investigation on his SEN breakfast show, making a claim that he then doubled down on, on Tuesday evening.

‘It is completely accurate, I know for a fact he’s been muzzled,’ Cornes said.
‘Sources tell ‘Four Cornes’ that maybe some Channel 7 heavyhitters are not exactly Media-Ocre enthusiasts.
‘And with Browny’s radio future now sitting in the hands with those at Seven — has Australia’s self appointed media watchdog become a little less bitey.’
A source at Channel 9 said it was ‘garbage’ and Cornes needed ‘to get over the fact Brown beat him in the boxing ring and move on’.
‘He’s living rent free in Kane’s head, it’s embarrassing,’ they said.
‘There’s been no directive whatsoever, it’s garbage. Nathan is the last person to be backing down.’
A month ago Brown confirmed that the two still do not get along despite working for Sportsbet together.
He told Tiple M colleague, Steve Johnson, that the pair ‘pretend and go our separate ways,’ once they have finished what they have to do.
Cornes comments on Tuesday were just the latest of a number of Media-Ocre swipes that he has taken at Brown.
It was reported that Cornes took a shot at Brown previously, calling him ‘brave or stupid’, over a decision he made which affected the content seen on the Sunday Footy Show.
Reports stated Cornes made the comment after Brown included Channel 7 gaffes in his segment Media-Ocre.
Despite Cornes’ comment relating to the TV show’s segment, he has defended the nature of it.
‘He said I was very brave … he questioned whether I was stupid or brave,’ Brown said.
‘I’m not criticising anyone. We have a very light-hearted jab at people, and it’s never nasty, we put ourselves in it.
There are people in the industry who do get a little bit nasty, but we definitely don’t.’
Brown came out on top when he and Cornes got physical in 2024 at ‘The Gathering’ boxing event.
Then, Brown was the dominant force in the fight despite his opponents superior cardio.
Though with the fight being just four, two-minute rounds, it is hard to see how cardio could have played too much of a factor.
