Real Madrid set to sign Dumfries
Real Madrid are closing in on a deal to sign Denzel Dumfries from Inter, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Dumfries has a release clause worth €20 million in his contract with Inter and Romano has confirmed that Madrid are set to activate the buyout after the player accepted a deal to join them
The deal will be closed in the coming hours, with formal steps to follow, after Madrid moves ahead of Liverpool in the race for the Dutchman.
Man Utd exploring Hall transfer
Man Utd are closely monitoring Newcastle defender Lewis Hall as they look to strengthen at left-back this summer, according to The Athletic.
The report claims that while the Magpies are not actively looking to sell Hall, they may consider sales as they look to raise funds for a planned rebuild under manager Eddie Howe.
Hall, who has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League since joining Newcastle from Chelsea in 2023, is thought to be worth in excess of €58m (£50m), The Athletic understands.
Atletico identify Osimhen as Alvarez replacement
Arsenal have seen their hopes of signing Julian Alvarez boosted after learning Atletico Madrid have identified Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as a possible replacement, according to reports in Spain.
Atletico have no desire to sell Julian Alvarez, particularly to Barcelona after speculation linking the Catalans with a €100m move for the forward, however Arsenal and PSG are said to still hold a strong interest in the Argentina.
Despite Atletico’s clear frustration over the rumours surrounding Alvarez, Spanish publication Diario AS are now claiming the club have found a potential replacement for the 26-year-old.
It claims Atletico have lined up a €75m (£64.8m) deal to sign Galatasaray and Nigeria forward Osimhen, in the event that Alvarez leaves the Metropolitano Stadium this summer.
Rashford in limbo as United refuse Premier League sale
Marcus Rashford has found himself stuck in limbo after Man Utd decided they are unwilling to sanction a move to a Premier League rival this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The England international has made it clear he wants to remain at Barcelona, with whom he spent last season on loan, but widespread reports have indicated the La Liga club are not planning to trigger their €30million (£26m) option to make the move permanent.
And The Mirror understands that while Premier League quartet Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur would be prepared to offer a solution to both Rashford and United’s problem, the 20-time league champions have ruled out that prospect.
