Sandro Tonali is also on their list but Tottenham are working hard to convince the Italian to join them instead.

West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes and Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi have also been discussed by Arsenal but there is plenty of competition.

Manchester United and Tottenham are the main runners for Fernandes so far.

United, Spurs and Chelsea are also interested in 22-year-old Scott who is valued close to £80m.
