Most Americans say Iran war not worth costs, Trump approval falls to match lowest in second term

A majority of Americans (52 percent) now say that the US war on Iran is not worth its costs, while only 24 percent agree that it is, according to a Reuters/IPSOS poll on Tuesday.

The poll also showed that only 23 percent of Americans say that the US is in a stronger position with Iran after the war, whereas 35 percent consider the US position to be weaker.

US President Donald Trump’s approval rating has also fallen to 34 percent, matching the lowest level that it has reached since the beginning of his second term in office.
