Flights have been halted at Eindhoven Airport in the Netherlands, sparking long delays with 3,000 passengers affected. The malfunction was discovered at around 11.30 this morning and ever since landing air traffic has not been permitted.
A network outage in the Air Force control tower was the cause of the problems. Flights due to land have been diverted via Rotterdam, Zaventem Airport in Brussels, Maastricht and Weeze. Flights to Rome, Bologna, Sofia, and Prague are among several that have been cancelled.
