The Lagos State Cricket Association (LSCA), in collaboration with the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), has successfully concluded a three-day Basic Bowling Clinic for Women aimed at developing female cricket talents and strengthening grassroots participation in the sport.
The intensive training programme, which ended on Saturday brought together passionate female cricketers from across Lagos State.

The platform provided them with an opportunity to enhance their bowling techniques, tactical awareness, and overall understanding of the game.
Throughout the three-day clinic, participants underwent specialized coaching sessions focused on bowling fundamentals, including run-up and release mechanics, line and length consistency, basic bowling variations, and the mental aspects of competitive cricket.
The initiative forms part of the Nigeria Cricket Federation’s commitment to promoting women’s cricket and creating sustainable pathways for talent development at the grassroots level.
Organisers described the programme as a significant step toward empowering female athletes and increasing the pool of skilled players available for state and national team selection.
Participants also expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn from experienced coaches, noting that the clinic improved both their confidence and technical abilities.
The successful conclusion of the clinic underscores the growing commitment of the Lagos State Cricket Association and the Nigeria Cricket Federation to advancing women’s cricket and fostering the next generation of female cricket stars in Nigeria.
