Dates when Arsenal 2026/27 Premier League TV and fixture changes will be announced

Arsenal have learned their Premier League 2026/27 fixture schedule but dates and times for 36 matches still to be decided

Arsenal have discovered who and when they will play as they look to defend their Premier League title for the first time in 22 years. Mikel Arteta’s side have successfully been crowned as champions, after more than six years in the role.

However, attention turns now to winning successive league titles, something not done since the 1930s, and therefore never during the Premier League era. With the announcement of the fixtures, Arsenal will benefit from home matches on the first and last days of the season.

Their opening match is scheduled for Friday, 21 August at 20:00 against Coventry City. The final match of the season takes place on Sunday, 30 May at 16:00.

Outside these two games, however, the remaining 36 matches are subject to change, and supporters are encouraged not to make travel plans based on the placeholder dates and times for the other fixtures.

This is because broadcasting reshuffles are yet to be confirmed. These are staggered throughout the season so that the most high-profile games can be televised in the UK.

While in other countries every single game is often available, the 3pm Saturday blackout remains in effect for now, despite suggestions that the traditional UK rule may end in the near future.

The Premier League have since revealed the weeks in which they will announce the official date and time of all fixtures. Arsenal’s matchdays 2 to 5 will be announced on July 13.

Arsenal travel to Aston Villa on matchday two, followed by the hosting of Chelsea, a trip to Sunderland and then to the south coast to face Brighton. A tricky opening five games but should Arteta’s team come through unscathed they would have ticked off a Big Six opponent and three tricky away trips early on.
