Barcola bid ready

Arsenal are set to make an €80 million bid for PSG winger Bradley Barcola, CaughtOffside claims.

The France international is considered a key target by the Gunners, who are now ready to test PSG’s resolve with an opening offer. It is believed that the French giants will only entertain a sale if their hefty valuation is met.

Arsenal’s proposal will clock in at around €80m, but PSG are said to want more than €100m. This gap in valuation could make a deal difficult, particularly as Barcola is also being chased by other clubs, including Liverpool.

Greenwood truth

Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with a shock move for disgraced former Man Utd forward Mason Greenwood in France.

However, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano insists that this is just a baseless rumour. The Marseille forward is fielding concrete interest from Serie A, while a return to the Premier League does not appear to be on the agenda.

“There is interest from Italy in Greenwood, that’s for sure,” Romano said. “There is genuine interest from Italy. But at the moment, my understanding is that Greenwood-Tottenham [or Arsenal] won’t happen.”

Thiago wanted

Arsenal have made Brentford striker Igor Thiago a priority target this summer, as per RTI Esporte.

The Brazil international is currently at the World Cup, but he did not feature against Haiti on Friday after a disappointing outing in the Selecao’s tournament opener against Morocco.

Nevertheless, he is attracting big-name interest after a 25-goal season, with Arsenal and Man Utd both on the case. Mikel Arteta is believed to be a long-standing admirer of Thiago’s physical style of play.
