Fox Sports has not indicated if long-time NFL analyst Terry Bradshaw will remain with the network beyond the 2026 season, but as the four-time Super Bowl champion told Sports Business Radio, he has no plans to retire.
‘Retirement is not something that… I mean, I may not be with Fox. That would be their call, not mine,’ the 77-year-old said, adding that he’ll either be on television or promoting his own brand of Kentucky whiskey. ‘But I would still be speaking, but if not doing that, I’ll still work the bourbon trail.’
The legendary Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and affable Louisianian is coming off a difficult season in the Fox Sports studio, where he suffered through a series of mental lapses.
At times, he’s veered off topic, mispronounced player names with seeming indifference, and once appeared to forget that Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is now teammates with former Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons.
Despite these issues, Bradshaw sees retirement as a non starter.
‘[Reverend] Billy Graham said that the day that you retire is the day you start dying,’ Bradshaw said. ‘I do believe a lot of people, when they stop using their brain and keep their thought processes moving and advancing, I do think, for whatever reason, I believe you age, and people end up dying.

‘I mean, people die within a year after retirement. So I don’t want to do that. I see myself staying fully active right up to the end, whenever that is.’
Bradshaw has previously mentioned the possibility of retirement as early as 2008, when he predicted he’d be done by 2011.
That forecast has obviously changed a bit. Meanwhile, his co-hosts don’t envision him leaving ever.
‘It’s never gonna happen,’ Fox NFL Sunday host Curt Menefee told the Daily Mail in late 2025. ‘They’re going to be carrying him out in a hearse. He is not leaving the show.
‘I grew up watching Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long,’ Menefee said, adding: ‘For me to be beside these guys who are not only icons, but guys that I worshiped as a fan growing up has been absolutely amazing.’
Bradshaw’s contract reportedly runs through the 2026 season with Fox, which will host the Super Bowl again in 2029.
