Flash floods have hit the southern city of Jaen, Spain, following torrential downpours – with pedestrians knocked to the ground, cars submerged and roads turned to rivers
Roads have been turned into rivers in an incredible storm in a Spanish holiday hotspot, leaving cars submerged as footage showed pedestrians being knocked over and washed down streets.
Drivers found themselves being overtaken by wheelie bins floating in raging torrents of water as downpours hit the southern city of Jaen last night. Locals and holidaymakers were then struck by a hailstorm.
Footage showed people shouting for help as the cascading water knocked them off their feet and prevented them from getting back up.
