The achievement capped a season of significant progress for the Nigerian sprinter, who continued his steady rise in the 400 metres.
Achakpoekri lowered his personal best twice during the campaign, improving from 45.88 seconds to 45.37 seconds, further establishing himself as one of Nigeria’s promising quarter-mile talents.
Despite the milestone achievements, the sophomore remains focused on what lies ahead rather than what has already been accomplished.

“I’m really grateful to God looking at how far I’ve come, but I’m not satisfied with my achievements so far because I know I have more in me.”
