Amnesty International has accused the Israeli government of turning the annexation of the occupied West Bank into an officially declared political objective, warning of what it described as an escalating campaign of forced displacement against Palestinians.
In a report released on Tuesday, the human rights organisation said Israeli authorities have intensified measures over the past three and a half years aimed at removing Palestinians from their land, confiscating property and expanding Israeli control over parts of the occupied territory.
According to Amnesty International, the developments reflect a broader state policy rather than isolated incidents.
The organisation argued that the measures form part of a systematic effort to alter the demographic and geographic character of the occupied West Bank.
Amnesty said Palestinians have faced increasing pressure to leave their communities through land confiscation, restrictions affecting livelihoods and attacks carried out by Israeli settlers.

The report described settler violence as a central component of the current situation, arguing that it plays a significant role in maintaining Israeli control over Palestinian communities in the occupied territory.
Amnesty further accused Israeli authorities of facilitating and enabling such practices, leading to an acceleration of displacement in several areas of the West Bank.
The organisation said recent developments indicate that annexation has become an openly stated political goal of the current Israeli government.
The report comes amid growing international concern over conditions in the occupied West Bank.
Last March, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights warned of an increasing risk of serious violations of international law in the territory and expressed concern over developments that could contribute to the commission of war crimes.
