Trump vows Iran will now 'pay the price' after failing to agree peace deal

Donald Trump has threatened Iran will “pay the price” for failing to agree a peace deal in a worrying new turn having recently claimed that an agreement was close

Donald Trump says Iran will “pay the price” for taking too long to agree a peace deal.

The United States President has spoken recently of being positive about an agreement with Iran but he has struck an ominous new tone with a latest post on Truth Social.

Airstrikes were launched by the US after it blamed Tehran for the crash of an Apache attack helicopter and it in turn prompted new attacks from Iran on neighbouring countries as it targeted American bases.

A fragile ceasefire has been in place in the Middle East to give the possibility for talks between the two sides but now Trump says that Iran has taken “too long to negotiate a deal”.

He said: “Iran’s Military is a complete and total mess. Much of it, like their Navy and Air Force, doesn’t even exist anymore – They have been completely defeated. Iran is all talk and no action.

“The Bully of the Middle East is DEAD!!! They’ve taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them, now they will have to pay the price!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
