Saudi Arabia is reportedly preparing for escalation with Iran amid fears Tehran could launch fresh missile attacks targeting the country.
Elior Levy, and Israeli journalist for Channel Kan 11, said Riyadh is “on high alert for a multi-front scenario.”
The report comes two days after Saudi Arabia condemned Iranian attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain, which occurred earlier this month.
In a statement on X, the Saudi foreign ministry said Iranian aggression poses a threat to regional and international security.
They said: “Iran’s ongoing attacks undermine international efforts to restore security…Iran’s ongoing attacks mean further escalation.”
Riyadh also vowed to aid Bahrain and Kuwait in bolstering their defence and security.
Earlier this month, Reuters reported that Saudi Arabia launched strikes on Iran in retaliation for attacks carried out in the kingdom during the war, first launched by Donald Trump back in February.
During the conflict, reports alleged that Saudi leader Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman had urged Mr Trump to continue the war despite other nations calling for an end to the fighting.
On February 28, the US and Israel struck targets across Iran, killing then Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with dozens of other leadership officials.
