Enugu State Governor, Barrister Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has rewarded Nigeria Premier Football League champions Rangers International FC with a massive ₦150 million cash package and plots of land following the club’s triumphant 2025/26 season.
The reward was announced during a special reception organised in honour of the Flying Antelopes after their successful title-winning campaign.

According to the governor, ₦100 million of the package will be shared among the players, while the remaining ₦50 million will go to the club’s management team in recognition of their efforts and commitment throughout the season.
Beyond the financial reward, Governor Mbah also approved plots of land for all players and management staff, with each beneficiary expected to receive a Certificate of Occupancy (C of O).
The governor further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sports development in Enugu State, revealing plans to upgrade the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium ahead of Rangers’ participation in next season’s CAF Champions League.
The renovation is also aimed at preparing the facility for the 2026 Coal City Games.
The gesture has been widely praised by football stakeholders and supporters across the state.
Rangers, one of Nigeria’s most successful clubs, enjoyed a remarkable campaign to emerge NPFL champions and secure qualification for the CAF Champions League, where they will represent Nigeria on the continental stage next season.
