Morgan Rogers’ stance on £100m Arsenal transfer after granting Aston Villa request

Arsenal have an interest in Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers this summer and have been handed a fresh update

Morgan Rogers is reportedly open to a departure from Aston Villa this summer as he continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal. The Gunners have an interest in signing the England international as they prepare for what could be a busy summer transfer window.

Rogers has been linked with a move to Arsenal for some time, with the Gunners expected to be in the market for reinforcements as they prepare for next season. football.london understands Arsenal are interested in a move for Rogers ahead of what is gearing up to be an ambitious summer for the club.

Arsenal won the Premier League title last season and reached the Champions League and Carabao Cup finals, and will be looking to build on their success next season.

The former Middlesbrough player is a player of interest to Arsenal, although there’s an expectation that it would take a sizable fee to prise Rogers out of Villa Park.

There has now been a fresh update on Rogers and how the 23-year-old views his future ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to The Athletic, Rogers is not pushing for a move away from Villa this summer, but there is said to be an acceptance that now could be the right time for a fresh challenge.

The report also claims that Villa could demand as much as £100million for Rogers this summer, pointing to the same fee that the club agreed for Jack Grealish when he joined Manchester City in the summer of 2021.

This is not the first time that Rogers’ future has been the subject of speculation, with the forward linked with a move away from Villa last summer.

It has been reported that Villa boss Unai Emery asked Rogers to remain at the club for at least one more season, which the player is said to have accepted.

Rogers is not the only player of interest to Arsenal this summer, with Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi on their shortlist of targets.

Kroupi enjoyed an impressive full debut season at Bournemouth last season, scoring 13 goals in the top flight and is also expected to have a sizable asking price if he is to leave the Cherries this summer.

As well as in the forward department, Arsenal also have an interest in strengthening in midfield and at full-back ahead of their Premier League title defence.
