Chelsea will reportedly push to sign Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers this summer, with the club having a long-standing interest in the midfielder. Arsenal also hold an interest in the England international.
Rogers has impressed since joining Villa from Middlesbrough in January 2024. That has prompted transfer interest from several clubs interested in completing a summer deal.
The Athletic reports that Chelsea are expected to ‘push’ for a transfer this summer, having a long-term interest in Rogers. It’s added that missing out on Champions League qualification is unlikely to be a big stumbling block for the Blues.

Chelsea could hold a slight advantage with recruitment co-director Joe Shields knowing the player from their time at Manchester City’s academy.
But the Blues aren’t alone in holding an interest in Rogers. Arsenal are also keen on signing the England man this summer, football.london understands.

According to CIES Football Observatory, a fair price for Rogers this summer would be €127-147 million (£109.7-£127m). Whether Villa demand that sort of price is still to be seen.
Rogers will be looking to catch the eye as he represents England in this summer’s World Cup in North America.
In the season just gone, the midfielder scored 10 times and provided a further seven assists in 37 Premier League appearances to earn his place in the squad.
