All hope for a summer transfer by Nigerian-born defender, Destiny Udogie to Juventus of Italy might not see the light of day after all, as officials at his current club, Tottenham Hotspur of England are not ready to let him go.

Sports247 gathered that, although Udogie’s third season in the English Premier League was riddled with several bouts of injury, he comported himself well enough during the handful of games he played, which impressed Spurs’ top brass.
Consequently, Tottenham are prepared to fight to keep hold of the 23-year-old left-back, who arrived at the club in 2022 from Juventus’ Italian Serie A rivals, Udinese, and a return to Italy is now being mooted, despite his difficult season in England.
Udogie was in and out of the team with injuries, but the London-based club that almost got relegated from the EPL this season do not have him listed among the players they are looking to move out during this summer’s transfer window.
A report by Tribal Football added, “Defensive changes have been central to the club’s planning since the end of the season (and) Roberto De Zerbi sees Udogie becoming an important member of his line-up.
“Udogie’s transfer to Spurs almost four years ago was worth an initial £15 million, rising to around £20 million. However, his progress has been positive, and the club would now value him in the £40–50 million bracket.”
Sports247 gathered further that Juve had previously shown keen interest in buying Udogie during his days with Udinese, and The Old Lady of Turin is now starting to test the waters at Tottenham to see whether they can finally hook his signature.
