All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on William Gomes, Marcus Rashford and Waldemar Anton.
Gomes enquiry
Man Utd are among numerous English top clubs to have enquired about Porto winger William Gomes, AS reports.
The Brazilian was a crucial part of the Porto side that won the Primeira Liga in the season just gone, playing his way onto the radar of Europe’s elite. Even though he is left-footed and prefers to play on the right, he has been compared to former Porto and Liverpool star Luis Diaz.
No formal offers have arrived at this stage, but the interest in Gomes is ramping up. Porto want to keep him for another season and to have him available for their Champions League campaign next season.
Another Rashford blow
Man Utd winger Marcus Rashford has seemingly suffered another blow, with TV3 reporting that Barcelona are set to sign departing Man City captain Bernardo Silva.
The Portugal international is poised to move to LaLiga on a free transfer this summer. Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have held talks with Silva, and it is believed that he is leaning towards a move to the latter.
This would further weaken Rashford’s position following Barcelona’s €80 million signing of Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon. The Man Utd loanee remains hopeful of staying in Catalunya – and Barca are still exploring ways to make it happen – but his chances decrease with each new signing.
Man Utd interested in Anton
Man Utd are interested in Borussia Dortmund defender Waldemar Anton, BILD writes.
The Uzbekistan-born Germany international is one of the first names on BVB’s teamsheet under Niko Kovac, and his performances have attracted the attention of Man Utd and Aston Villa. Anton played the full 90 minutes in every Bundesliga game he was available for in 2025/26.
The centre-back is set to replace Julian Brandt as Dortmund’s third-choice captain, but it seems that a summer departure can’t be entirely ruled out. Man Utd could be in the market for a replacement for Matthijs de Ligt following his recent injury problems.
Fernandes gulf
There is a big gulf in valuation between Man Utd and West Ham for Mateus Fernandes, Dean Jones claims.
The Hammers are reportedly asking for a fee north of €90m for the Portugal international, but Jones understands that Man Utd value Fernandes at just under €60m. There is a belief that West Ham have to sell, which could force them to lower their demands.
However, the East London club don’t want to show their hands too early in hopes of sparking a bidding war, with Arsenal and PSG also touted as potential suitors for Fernandes.
Fernandez-Pardo an option?
Man Utd are interested in Stade Rennais forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo, Gazzetta dello Sport understands.
The Belgium international can play as a winger and central striker. Fernandez-Pardo netted eight goals for Rennes in the season just gone and is believed to be open to staying with the Ligue 1 club.
However, interest in his services has been steadily increasing in recent weeks. Numerous European giants, including both Manchester clubs, are keeping tabs on the €30m-rated attacker.
