Sports247 reports that Fakorede finished second in the heat with a strong time of 10.08 seconds, comfortably securing automatic qualification for the next round as the sprint competition continues to intensify.
The Nigerian athlete showed excellent acceleration and composure throughout the race, maintaining his position among a highly competitive field to safely progress.
Jamaican sprinter Ajani Dwyer stormed to victory in the heat with a blistering time of 9.98 seconds, producing one of the standout sprint performances of the round.
Both athletes secured qualification as the competition in Lexington continues to produce fast times and exciting performances from some of the top collegiate sprinters in the United States.
