Hours after running back Josh Jacobs was arrested and charged with five counts of domestic violence, the Green Bay Packers have reportedly cancelled a player media availability.
Packers podcaster Andy Herman reported the development, saying that only coach Matt LaFleur would address the media.
The Daily Mail has contacted the Packers to confirm this report.
When addressing the media, LaFleur said the team is ‘going to let the process play out,’ before adding that he would not provide any further comment.
Jacobs turned himself into Wisconsin authorities on Tuesday and was booked into the Brown County Jail.
He has been accused of battery-domestic abuse, criminal damage to property-domestic abuse, disorderly conduct-domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim.

According to Brown County Jail records, the strangulation and suffocation assault charge is at the felony level. The other four charges are classified as misdemeanors.
However, on Wednesday, Jacobs was released after the Brown County District Attorney’s office reviewed the evidence available in the case.
‘Our office has requested additional investigation, as there is reason to believe that additional evidence may exist that would impact whether criminal charges are appropriate, and what charges would be issued,’ a statement from the DA’s office read.
The office added that ‘a final charging decision will be made’ at a later date.
A statement from Jacobs’ attorneys said, ‘We are extremely pleased that Josh has been released from custody and that no criminal charges have been filed against him.
‘As we previously stated, we encourage everyone to keep an open mind while the matter is fully reviewed.
‘We remain confident that, once all of the evidence is gathered and evaluated, it will confirm that no charges should be brought against Josh in the future.’
In a statement provided to the NFL Network at the time of the player’s booking, the Packers said: ‘We are aware of the matter involving Josh Jacobs. As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment.’

In an initial statement announcing the player’s arrest, the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department revealed that on Saturday at approximately 8:37 am, officers were dispatched to a disturbance complaint involving Jacobs.
‘As a result of the investigation, Josh Jacobs was subsequently arrested on May 26, 2026, and booked into the Brown County Jail on the following charges,’ it read.
‘This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time.’
In a statement provided to The Daily Mail on Tuesday, Jacobs’ attorneys, David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Clarence Duchac, said: ‘Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public.
‘We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.’
The NFL are also ‘aware of the report’ and have ‘been in contact with the club’, according to the NFL Network.
The Packers star, who turned 28 in February, has spent two years with the franchise after originally being drafted by the Raiders in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Jacobs previously sparked dating rumors with influencer and OnlyFans star Ash Kash back in February, after sharing a video of them holding hands on a beach on his Snapchat story
His contract in Green Bay is set to run for the next two seasons, after signing a four-year deal worth $48million with the franchise in March 2024.
During the 2025 season, Jacobs finished with 234 carries for 929 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns, along with 36 receptions for 282 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
Back in February, the Packers star sparked dating rumors with influencer and OnlyFans model Ash Kash, after the pair were seen holding hands in a Snapchat post.
Neither Jacobs nor Kash ever commented on the rumors.
