Arsenal are reportedly serious contenders in the hunt to sign Morgan Rogers but face two different kinds of battles. The Premier League champions are said to be in the race for the England international’s signature alongside Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
But there is an emerging deadline as eSPORTY are reporting on Wednesday that Villa are prepared to sell their star player before the World Cup which begins in 15 days. However, the 23-year-old has reportedly not expressed a desire to leave the Europa League winners and remains calm regarding his future.
The Villa Park hierarchy are said to value Rogers in excess of £80million which would eclipse the deal to sign Kai Havertz and fall short, depending on the agreement, of the current club record £100million move for Declan Rice. Rogers’ performance at this summer’s World Cup could be crucial in terms of the playmakers’ future but also financially for Villa.
Posting on X, journalist Ben Jacobs wrote: “Arsenal a serious contender for Morgan Rogers, as revealed on @eSPORTY.
“Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG remain the other clubs keen. Aston Villa value Rogers at £80m+.
“A sale this summer is expected given it suits all parties. However, Rogers is not agitating to leave and is calm if his future is not resolved until after the World Cup.
“However, Aston Villa are prepared to sell before the tournament for the right offer.”

Should he perform at a high level for Thomas Tuchel’s side, it could see his price-tag sky rocket while Villa would hold the cards in the transfer battle with the attacking midfielder still having five years remaining on his current contract.
A strong display across America for the Three Lions could spark fresh interest from some of Europe’s other big hitters, but that will only drive a bidding war and a price increase.
It was an impressive campaign from Rogers as he capped a fine season with a call-up for the prestigious international tournament, which will be held across America, Mexico and Canada this summer.
Whether Villa, who finished fourth in the Premier League, sell one of their main players this summer remains to be seen and some may question why they would after conquering Europe’s second-tier competition.
Emery has unlocked Rogers after securing the talent from Middlesbrough in 2024. The Spanish tactician has played a key part in the improved numbers from the 23-year-old.
The midfielder said: “The managers been banging on to me about getting more easy goals and to get into the box. Happy I could get there and get a toe on it to score. So yeah, happy.
“It was all worth it in the end. I try to give my all and give the best I’ve got.”
