Nigeria’s female cadet national team, Flamingos’ head coach, Akeem Busari has promised that his players will not be complacent in the return leg of their FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup qualifier against Guinea, Sports247 reports.

Although the Flamingos head into this Saturday’s reverse fixture at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne with a fat advantage from a mammoth 5-0 away victory last weekend, Busari assured Nigerians that they will not rest on their oars.
While acknowledging that the Guineans will be all out to cause an upset in Ikenne, the former coach of DUFA Football Academy of Lagos and Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan disclosed that he has studied the opponents well enough to handle them.
Busari disclosed that he and his technical crew carefully studied the Guinean side very well before last weekend’s encounter, especially after their impressive 8-2 aggregate victory over Niger Republic in the previous round.
He recalled, “Looking at the magnitude of the game and the fact that Guineans are a high-scoring side, we examined their strong points and weaknesses. We noticed that their left-back was one of their strongest points and we exploited that area.
“But, in football, it is not over until it is all over. It is a two-legged affair and we are only done with the first leg. So, we won’t be complacent in the return leg because the team is still rebuilding and we want to win well before our fans.”
Sports247 gathered that the aggregate winners of this fixture will qualify for the final round of the qualifiers, from which four African representatives for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will emerge in July.
