The new Premier League champions will make the short trip to Selhurst Park for their final match of the Premier League season.
Crystal Palace defender Chris Richards remains absent from training ahead of this week’s final Premier League fixture against Arsenal.
The Gunners will be officially crowned as English champions on Sunday at Selhurst Park after Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday put a first league title in 22 years beyond doubt. And whilst Mikel Arteta could be tempted to rest players ahead of the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 30, the Eagles already have one eye on their Conference League final against Rayo Vallecano next week as they prepare to bring the curtain down on their domestic campaign. The fixture will also be Oliver Glasner’s final match in charge at Selhurst Park before his summer departure. Maxence Lacroix trained as normal while Evann Guessand was back on the grass with a heavily strapped right knee. Palace are expected to rotate heavily against Arsenal because their Premier League status was confirmed earlier this month and they travel to Germany on Tuesday in preparation for Wednesday’s final in Leipzig.
Victory for Arsenal would see the Gunners finish the season on 85 points. They are currently five points ahead of City heading into the final match, with all fixtures kicking off at 4pm on Sunday.
