Chelsea eye Bowen

Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing winger Jarrod Bowen if West Ham get relegated, according to The Guardian.

The Hammers, who need results to go their way in order to stay up on Sunday, are braced for a significant revenue shortfall if they drop down to the Championship, which could force them into selling more than €100 million worth of talent.

Bowen, despite his affection for the club, is one of the most marketable assets and could be on the way out, with several Premier League giants keen to take advantage of this potential market opportunity.

Rowe confirms Premier League dream

Bologna winger Jonathan Rowe has confirmed that his ambition is to return to the Premier League after previously getting a taste of it with Norwich City.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed a promising first season in Italy, and his recent performances have attracted the attention of Aston Villa and Chelsea, with the latter reportedly poised to make a €40m bid.

Speaking to The Athletic, Rowe reiterated that he is planning to return to England in the future. “Obviously my goal in the future is to play in the Premier League week in, week out for one of the top teams,” he said.

“At the time when I was at Norwich, I got injured, so I couldn’t kick on from the great start I had, so that probably stopped my chances of going to one of the big, big teams, and so I thought: ‘You know what? If this is my goal, I don’t mind taking a step around to get to the final goal.’

“I’m just taking it day by day, assessing my sessions and continuously improving in the hope it’ll pay off one day down the line.”

Atleti want Cucurella

Atletico Madrid have made Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella a key target, Sky Sports states, confirming reports from Spain.

The left-back is a long-standing target for Atleti director Mathieu Alemany, who wanted to re-sign Cucurella for Barcelona after he was sold by the Catalans to Getafe in 2020.

The Blaugrana are also showing a tentative interest, though their priority is making Joao Cancelo’s loan from Al-Hilal permanent. Cucurella recently admitted that he would find it difficult to turn down a return to Barcelona.

However, as things stand, a move to Madrid appears more likely for the Spain international. It is not disclosed whether Chelsea would be willing to discuss a deal for their star left-back this summer.

Luis back on Strasbourg’s radar

Former Chelsea full-back Filipe Luis is once again being considered as a potential coaching option by Strasbourg, Mohamed Toubache-Ter reports.

The Brazilian was already considered by BlueCo over the winter when it became clear that Liam Rosenior would replace Enzo Maresca as Chelsea head coach and vacate his role as Strasbourg boss.

Luis engaged in talks with BlueCo, thinking he might be in line for the Chelsea job, but when it became clear that he was earmarked for Strasbourg, he declined and decided to stay at Flamengo.

However, he didn’t last long at the club after overseeing a disappointing start to the 2026 season. Despite repeatedly winning silverware, he was unceremoniously sacked, and his willingness to hold talks with BlueCo contributed to Flamengo’s decision.

It is now claimed that Luis is again on Strasbourg’s radar. Rosenior’s replacement, Gary O’Neil, endured a difficult end to the campaign and, despite initial reporting that he would stay, it is now asserted that he could depart the club after just a few months.
