Mikel Arteta has finally achieved his goal of leading Arsenal to the Premier League title
Arsenal continue to relish the feeling of being Premier League champions. The club’s 22-year drought ended on Tuesday, meaning the title race avoided going to the wire on the final day.
Mikel Arteta ‘s team celebrated as Manchester City surrendered points against Bournemouth to end their title bid. The manager was not with his squad during their coronation but had arranged for the team to mark their accomplishment together.
This ensures there will be no tension surrounding the Gunners’ final league fixture against Crystal Palace on Sunday. The trophy parade has been scheduled for 31st May and Arsenal supporters want to see two trophies on show as the team prepare for next week’s Champions League final.

Ethan Nwaneri ‘open’ to move
Sky Sport Deutschland has reported that Borussia Dortmund are “making another attempt” to sign Ethan Nwaneri this summer. The Arsenal prospect has spent the latter half of the campaign on loan at Marseille following a lack of opportunities with the Gunners.
The German outlet suggests that Dortmund have enquired about the 19-year-old’s circumstances. Nwaneri is said to be “open” to joining the club this summer, although a permanent transfer is considered unlikely due to the “high transfer fee” expected.
The midfielder remains tied to the Gunners until 2030. Arranging a loan deal is also believed to be challenging for Dortmund, though the Bundesliga side maintain their interest in the Arsenal star.
Nwaneri played in nine league games for Marseille, scoring twice. Prior to his move to France, the youngster had made six cameo appearances for Arsenal in the Premier League this season.
Mikel Arteta’s private message revealed
The Arsenal manager reached out to his squad following their victory against Burnley on Monday. Arteta sent a WhatsApp at 11pm to ensure his players watched Manchester City’s encounter with Bournemouth together at their London Colney training facility.
The Spanish manager held back from organising plans until his team had collected all three points, refusing to allow his squad to take their Burnley clash for granted. Once the opportunity arose for the club to clinch the title on Tuesday evening, Arteta held training later in the day so the squad could watch City’s match together.
After being crowned champions, the Arsenal squad celebrated and were granted approval to venture out. Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber and Eberechi Eze were photographed outside the Emirates Stadium at 5am.
The manager opted to view the crucial fixture at home and mark the moment with his family. However, he linked up with his players later that evening.
