Five men are thought to have been in a horror shooting inside a home in Sydney’s southwest, leaving one dead and four more injured as police investigate the crime scene
A man has died and four others are in a serious condition in hospital after a horror shooting in Sydney, Australia.
Police were called to Liverpool hospital in Sydney’s southwest at about 8.30pm on Tuesday, May 19, following reports two men – aged 28 and 32 – had presented with multiple wounds.
Despite undergoing treatment for a gunshot injury, the 28-year-old tragically died a short time later.
He is yet to be formally identified.
The 32-year-old remains in hospital in a serious by stable condition with a neck injury.
Around 8.40pm, two other men – aged 23 and 22 – took themselves to Fairfield Hospital in serious conditions.
The 23-year-old is being treated for a gunshot injury to his neck and the 22-year-old is being treated for a shoulder injury.
They have both been moved to different hospitals for further treatment.
Roughly an hour later, at 9.50pm a 19-year-man also attended Liverpool Hospital with injuries to his arm. He is in a stable condition.
A crime scene has been established by the force at a home on Arbutus Street, Canley Heights.
It is believed the men were all injured during a shooting at the home earlier in the night.
Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command – with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad – have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
