Jurgen Klopp could be handed an astonishing opportunity to return to club management in France after the owner of Paris FC admitted he ‘dreams’ of the ex-Liverpool boss becoming his side’s new manager.

Klopp has been away from the dugout since ending his nine-year stint as Liverpool boss in 2024, instead holding a role at Red Bull as their Head of Global Soccer since 2025.

The 58-year-old has so far resisted the temptation to return to coaching despite being linked with Real Madrid as well as a potential return to Liverpool amid the growing pressure on his successor Arne Slot.

However, with Jose Mourinho set to take over at Real Madrid and Liverpool showing no intention of sacking Slot, Paris FC owner Antoine Arnault has revealed he one day wishes to bring Klopp to his ambitious Ligue 1 side if they reach the Champions League.

“If we qualify for the Champions League, I would love to convince Jürgen Klopp to come and coach our team,” Arnault told RMC Sport. “Who doesn’t dream of having Jurgen, with his sunny disposition and footballing genius on their side? Sooner or later, we all dream of having him.

“It won’t be in the short term, since he doesn’t want to return to a coaching position quickly, but perhaps in three, four, or five years.”

Red Bull connection could pave way for Klopp’s shock move to Paris

Despite having only been promoted to Ligue 1 last season, a move for Klopp is not as farfetched as it may seem, given Red Bull’s 10.6 percent ownership stake in Paris FC.

The conglomerate became minority owners in the club during Arnault’s takeover in 2024, who is among the richest people in the world having built his legacy as the founder of LVMH, the holding company for Louis Vuitton.

Paris FC finished 11th in their first season back in Ligue 1, having shaken off any fears of relegation after the appointment of Antoine Kombouare in February.

Kombouare, who previously managed rivals Paris Saint-Germain, is still yet to decide his future amid some minor health concerns, with Arnault stating that he would like to continue with the 62-year-old if possible.

But a future with Klopp cannot be ruled out if Paris FC do indeed achieve their ambitions of playing the Champions League, knowing that the possibilities are endless as a team backed by limitless resources.
