Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been drawn in a challenging Group L for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, where they will face Tanzania, Madagascar, and Guinea-Bissau in the race for a place at the continental showpiece.
The draw, conducted by CAF on Monday, sets up another competitive qualification campaign for the three-time African champions as they aim to secure an early ticket to AFCON 2027, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Tanzania’s inclusion in the group adds extra intrigue, with the East Africans expected to be highly motivated despite already qualifying automatically as co-hosts. Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau also present tricky opposition, having grown steadily in recent African football competitions.
