Arsenal’s attention remains fixed on the Premier League run-in and Champions League final. But once the campaign concludes, transfer activity is inevitable.
The Gunners demonstrated their willingness to invest heavily last summer, splashing over £250million on players including Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera.
Manager Arteta has already identified his first priority for the forthcoming window: securing defender Piero Hincapie’s permanent transfer. Yet the north London outfit may have further business to conduct.

Tonali has proved instrumental for the Magpies following his £55million arrival in 2023, though the Italian has been surrounded by considerable transfer speculation since January’s window closed.
Corriere della Sera now suggests the 26-year-old is available for transfer, with Arsenal amongst the interested parties. Nevertheless, the Italian publication indicates Manchester United currently hold pole position.
During January, Tonali attracted significant interest from the Gunners, but Newcastle had already tied down his future. It emerged in October that the Italian had quietly penned a one-year contract extension while serving his 10-month gambling ban.
Tonali remains under contract at Newcastle until 2029, with the Magpies reportedly demanding a fee in the region of £87m should he depart.
Arsenal leapfrog Liverpool for PSG star
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has also emerged as an Arsenal target, with the Gunners reportedly leading the chase.
L’Equipe suggest Barcola, whose PSG side are set to face Arsenal in the Champions League final later this month, could be offloaded in the summer as the Parisian club seek a new forward.
With Barcola’s contract running until 2028, both Arsenal and Liverpool have registered their interest, though it is Arteta’s outfit who currently hold the upper hand.
Arne Slot’s men have since distanced themselves from the 23-year-old, leaving Arsenal potentially keen to strengthen their wide options, particularly given Bukayo Saka’s injury history. Barcola would reportedly command a fee of around £80m.
The French international was substituted at the interval during PSG’s 2-0 victory over Lens, prompting questions for manager Luis Enrique, who remained tight-lipped in response.
He said: “What I can say here is that I can’t say anything. I have no important information for you and you must think what you think. I don’t have to explain anything. But it’s very clear.”
