Bright Future Football Academy were crowned champions of the maiden Soccer Fans Carnival, which hit a pulsating climax at Paulad Sports Centre, Abuja with a celebration of immense grassroots talent, youth development and entertainment.
Sports247 reports that the event, which attracted fans, stakeholders, media gurus, personalities and entertainers, also witnessed recognition of individuals and organizations for their immense contributions to football development in Nigeria.

The day began with the highly anticipated under-15 boys’ final, in which Bright Future defeated Zack Football Academy to emerge champions, after an impressive performance to lift the trophy, while Yaba Stars secured third-place.
Observers were unanimous that the event, which was graced by ex-international goalkeeper, Emmanuel Babayaro, showcased the abundance of young talents in the country and reaffirmed the importance of grassroots football in Nigeria.
As the football activities concluded, attention shifted to the glamorous red-carpet session which officially commenced by 6:30pm, as dignitaries, legends, sports administrators, entertainers, media representatives and guests graced the occasion.
One of the major highlights of the evening was the presentation of awards of excellence and recognition to distinguished personalities and organizations who have contributed significantly to football growth and youth empowerment.
The day eventually came to an end at 11:30pm with vote of thanks delivered by the organizer, Michael Atadoga, who appreciated guests, sponsors, partners, teams, awardees, media houses and entertainers for contributing to the successful event.
He expressed optimism that future editions of the Soccer Fans Carnival will be a lot bigger, with expectations that the competition continues growing in order to promote grassroots football, youth empowerment and unity through sports.
