Palestinian officials said Israeli police detained several Palestinians in the Old City of Jerusalem late Saturday after confrontations involving Israeli settlers and residents. The Jerusalem Governorate said some of those taken into custody were children.
According to the governorate, a 16-year-old Palestinian with medical conditions requiring regular treatment was detained after being attacked by settlers.
Officials also said a 64-year-old shopkeeper was arrested following an assault by settlers inside his store, while another Palestinian boy, 15, was detained despite sustaining a head injury in the attack.
