Arsenal transfer of Eberechi Eze did not include clause for bonuses if the Gunners win the Premier League
Despite rumours circulating online, football.london understands there is no such bonus in the deal which took Eberechi Eze to Arsenal from Crystal Palace in the summer that earns the south London club any extra money should the Gunners win the league.
Many supporters had taken to social media to celebrate the suggestions that as much as £10million in bonuses could be earned by Palace if Arsenal lift the league at Selhurst Park on Sunday, May24. However, as mentioned, no such clause exists.
Eze joined Arsenal in a deal worth £67.5million in August of 2025; however, it is understood that only £7.5million of that is considered as add-ons earned through a variety of reasons, none of which pertain to winning the domestic title.

They were thought to be very obtainable in the eyes of Palace when the deal was agreed. Initially, Eze had a £67.5million release clause; however, this expired before both Tottenham and Arsenal accelerated their attempts to sign the England international.
However, it was Arsenal’s swift approach to the deal and willingness to match the previous value of the release clause which clinched them the move over Spurs. In addition to Eze’s own preference of a switch to the club he’d supported as a youngster and even played for their youth side, before being released at 13 years old.
Suggestions, therefore, that Palace would have benefited from Arsenal winning the league in their own backyard do not exist. The Gunners do have the bonus of knowing Palace have the UEFA Conference League final just days after the final day of the Premier League season.
Oliver Glasner hinted that Man City’s rotation before their FA Cup final would justify any decision they might make to do similar against Arsenal should anyone scrutinise them for it. “Manchester City have a huge final in three days,” he said.
“So maybe it is the legitimation to make a huge rotation against Arsenal [before the Conference League final].”
However, the league could already be decided if Arsenal beat Burnley on Monday and City drops points at Bournemouth on Tuesday.
