Celtic are reportedly “very likely” to sign Bodo/Glimt striker Kasper Hogh during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Scottish giants are expected to be fairly active in the transfer market this summer and they have earmarked the centre forward position as an area in need of reinforcements amid the uncertain futures of Kelechi Iheanacho and Daizen Maeda.

Fellow forwards Tomas Cvancara, Junior Adamu and Joel Mvuka are also currently set to leave Celtic Park when their loan deals expire at the end of July, and the Hoops are therefore keen to secure the signing of at least one new striker before the start of next season.

Plymouth Argyle duo Lorent Tolaj and Bim Pepple have both been heavily linked with a move to Celtic in recent weeks, while the club could also feasibly look to rekindle their interest in Chelsea forward David Datro Fofana, who has struggled for game time since joining Strasbourg on loan in January.

The aforementioned Hogh has been on Celtic’s radar for a number of months too and the club are expected to pursue a deal when the summer window opens in June.

Celtic lead race to sign Kasper Hogh

Hogh was one of the breakout stars of the 2025-26 Champions League season, scoring five goals in 12 games as Bodo/Glimt reached the last-16 before an eventual exit to Portuguese giants Sporting CP.

The Denmark attacker netted a brace during Bodo/Glimt’s historic 3-1 win over Manchester City in January, while he also found the back of the net in victories against Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.

His progress is unsurprisingly being tracked by several clubs across Europe, but it is Celtic who are currently the frontrunners to secure his signature this summer.

That is according to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who told SpilXperten: “It is absolutely correct that both Hearts and Celtic really want Kasper Hogh. It is Celtic who are leading the race to buy him, but Hearts really want him too.

“As it stands right now, Celtic are leading the race to land Kasper Hogh. I see it as very likely that he could join Celtic during the summer.”

He continued: “Hearts will continue to insist that they are the right club for him, so they will of course try to persuade both him and the agent until the end, and then the decision is up to Kasper Hogh.”

Hogh has scored 50 goals in 98 games for Bodo/Glimt since his arrival from Stabaek in January 2024, and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €10.4 million.
