Leandro Trossard and Laura Hilven have confirmed their split after 13 years together, as the wife of the Arsenal star shared a heartfelt message on social media
The wife of Arsenal star Leandro Trossard has announced her separation from the Belgian international.
In a social media statement, Laura Hilven revealed that the pair had gone their separate ways after 13 years together.
Trossard, who remains a crucial player in Mikel Arteta’s squad, has been pivotal in driving the Gunners to the summit of English football – where they maintain their intense battle with Manchester City.
The 31-year-old scored the winning goal for Arsenal in their crucial London derby victory over West Ham United to extend their lead at the Premier League’s summit.
However, prior to the match, he had attracted attention after his partner appeared to remove all traces of him from her social media accounts, sparking speculation about their relationship.
Hilvin had previously shared photographs with the former Brighton attacker, but Trossard had been conspicuously absent from her feed since late last year, and the deletion of social media posts meant their wedding photographs had disappeared.
The 33-year-old confirmed that both she and the footballer had separated amicably, while stressing that they will remain devoted to their two children.

“This was not a choice made lightly. In fact we have been separated for some time now, and during that period we have taken the space and time needed to navigate this privately and thoughtfully.
“Our decision comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire to create the healthiest and happiest future for everyone involved. Most importantly, we are and always will be devoted parents to our two beautiful children.
“We kindly ask for compassion, understanding, and privacy during this deeply personal transition. With love, Laura.”
The pair married in 2019 after the Arsenal striker proposed in June 2018. Upon the announcement of their engagement, she said: “I can’t picture my life with anyone other than YOU! I SAID YES.”
On the pitch, Arsenal are focused on avoiding a damaging collapse in the title race, as well as the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest at the end of the month.
Trossard’s effort proved crucial in preventing Pep Guardiola’s side from seizing full advantage, following City’s failure to claim maximum points in a dramatic 2-2 draw with Everton.
Despite City’s emphatic 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday, the deficit remains just two points with an identical number of matches remaining. Casting his mind back to his match-winning contribution at the weekend, Trossard said: “It was quite tense at the end and we’re really happy that it went our way.
“You have to go on until the last minute, and especially in those games, we knew it would be tight because we know what we’re playing for as well. But yeah, I was just so relieved that the ball went in the back of the net.
“I had the belief that we would keep the clean sheet because we’re good at that as well, so credit to the boys, everyone fought a lot and I think it’s a deserved win.”
