Adelaide Crows star Izak Rankine has shown fans he has more skills than those regularly displayed on the field.
The 26-year-old is in the midst of a mixed season for the Crows, who have won five and lost four of their opening nine games.
But the talented footy player showed off his singing chops during his free time at a Guy Sebastian concert earlier this week.
Rankine joined the singer on stage to perform a duet of Maroon 5’s ‘She Will Be Loved’, impressing fans in attendance.
And it is easy to see why — his smooth voice harmonised well with Sebastian.
Not only was it a treat for the crowd, but also for the 2016 CMAA award winner, who is the Adelaide Football Club’s No.1 ticketholder.

It’s not the first time Rankine has showed off his singing ability, he performed the same song back in April 2025
The 26-year-old is a self-professed music lover and told reporters he loves to jam out at home
Speaking to Seven News, Rankine said: ‘Oh, it’s the worst, it’s so scary. I was sort of sitting on the edge of my seat and he told me he was going to call me up but I didn’t know when.
‘He went through the whole concert and obviously he’s an amazing vocalist; he can sing so well, and I’m sitting there thinking I’ve got to go after this.
‘He calmed my nerves — he came down to the ground, asking the crowd what songs they wanted, doing it off the cuff and making it pretty casual.
‘After that, he asked me on stage and we sang a song together. Not many people can say they’ve sung with him.’
The occasion was clearly special for the AFL star, who opened up about his love for music and singing away from the sport.
‘I think it’s one of my main interests. I love music and just jamming out at home, but I didn’t expect to ever be singing on stage with Guy.
‘But it was a pretty special opportunity and I’ll definitely hold onto that for the rest of my life.’
It’s not the first time Rankine has performed the Maroon 5 hit, which is clearly a favourite. In April 2025, he took to the stage in Barossa Valley, this time armed with a guitar to belt out the song.
Rankine received a four-game suspension in August 2025 for using a homophobic slur during a Crows game against Carlton — an incident that he has since admitted nearly made him quit the sport, as he was sent abroad to avoid the spotlight and further backlash.
He told reporters: ‘I have come a long way, obviously.
‘But I feel like I’ve always been that sort of [outgoing] person. And just to be able to show the world the sort of guy I am and, you know, show that anyone can bounce back from anything.
‘No matter what you’re going through or what you’ve been through, you can always bounce back and be a better person.’
And it would seem he is most certainly back to his outgoing best with his latest on-stage appearance.
