Bet of the day
Liverpool to beat Chelsea @ 5/6
It’s been a miserable title defence for Liverpool, who are only just about hanging onto a top-four position in the Premier League, but Chelsea are under pressure just to finish in the top half.
Arne Slot will know he will face major scrutiny this summer and another Anfield defeat will not go down well.
Chelsea have lost six Premier League matches on the bounce, the Blues have failed to even score a goal in five of those games and they were crushed 3-1 by a second-string Nottingham Forest side at Stamford Bridge last time out.
The Blues did beat Leeds in the FA Cup semi-finals last month, but that 1-0 success came from only two shots on target and an expected goal total of 0.38.
Chelsea do not have a permanent manager to rally the squad and bring some improved performances, and for all that Liverpool have struggled to maintain their peak this season, the Reds look excellent value at 5/6 to take the three points.

Over 3.5 goals & under 3.5 Brentford cards bet builder in Manchester City v Brentford @ 5/4
Manchester City dropped points at Everton in a thrilling 3-3 draw on Monday night and that leaves the Citizens chasing Arsenal in the title race.
Pep Guardiola’s men certainly have the attacking capabilities to beat Brentford on Saturday, with the Citizens having scored 15 goals across their last six matches.
However, City lack defensive cover, particularly with Rodri’s minutes still being limited, and a back-four of Matheus Nunes, Marc Guehi, Abdukodir Khusanov and Nico O’Reilly failing to convince right now.
A draw is no use for City, who will be forced to go on the front foot against Brentford and that is likely to lead to goals.
The Bees were excellent when creating an expected goals number of 2.27 to beat West Ham 3-0 on Saturday and the European-chasing west Londoners are an excellent attacking unit.
Keith Andrew’s men have lost only two of their last 14 games in 90 minutes and they look capable of contributing to a high-scoring Etihad contest.
The Bees have been shown only 11 yellow cards in their last 12 games, highlighting that they are a well-disciplined team.
Andrew’s side haven’t received a single booking in three of their last five matches and that includes a derby fixture with Fulham.
Over 3.5 goals and under 3.5 Brentford cards comes in at an attractive price of 5/4.
Acca of the day
Sunderland to beat Manchester United, Bolton to beat Bradford, St Mirren to beat Kilmarnock treble @ 12/1
Sunderland are unlikely to give Manchester United a warm welcome and the Black Cats have lost only four of 18 games in 90 minutes at the Stadium of Light this season.
The Red Devils have ridden their luck in recent wins over Chelsea, Brentford and Liverpool and they may come unstuck in the north east.
Bolton may have finished below Bradford in the final League One standings, but the Trotters can make home advantage count when the two teams meet in the first leg of their League One play-off semi-final.
Steven Schumacher’s side lost only two of their 23 home fixtures during the regular season, while Bradford’s away defeats reached double figures.
Kilmarnock are winless in their last 14 away matches and have lost 10 of those road trips. St Mirren can boost their survival hopes by beating their relegation rivals at The SMISA Stadium.
