Israel allocates one billion shekels for bypass roads in West Bank

The National Bureau for Defending Land and Resisting Colonisation said that Israel has allocated one billion shekels ($345m) for the construction of “colonial” bypass roads on Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank.

In its weekly settlement report released on Saturday, the bureau said that Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Transportation Minister Miri Regev announced the approval of the financing, which comes on top of the seven billion shekels ($2.4b) previously allocated which allowed for the construction of 952 kilometers of bypass roads over recent years.
