Arsenal are continuing to battle Manchester City for the Premier League title this season and have been handed another potential boost
Arsenal may have been handed yet another boost in their quest to become Premier League champions this season. The Gunners return to top-flight action this weekend as they look to beat Manchester City to the title.
Mikel Arteta’s side have a five-point lead over City in the Premier League table, having played one game more.
City dropped points in the title race with a 3-3 draw with Everton on Monday night, seeing Pep Guardiola and Co. hand Arsenal the advantage in the battle to be crowned league champions.
One potential day that Arsenal could win the title is on the final day of the season, when the Gunners will travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace.

That fixture will fall three days after the Conference League final, where Palace will be competing against Rayo Vallecano in the showpiece fixture.
Palace claimed a 2-1 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in the second leg of their semi-final on Thursday night to claim a 5-2 victory on aggregate and secure a spot in the final.
This will be Palace’s chance to win the first European trophy in the club’s history, which could be evidenced by the team selection for the final and then the match against Arsenal a few days later.
In terms of the Premier League, Palace are in 15th place and seven points above the relegation zone with four matches left to play.

One of those games will be a rearranged match against City on May 13, which needed to be rescheduled due to the original date for the fixture falling on the same day as the Carabao Cup final in March.
What may also go on to affect the title race is the fact that City will face Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League season.
Villa will be in Europa League final action after defeating Nottingham Forest 4-0 in the second leg of their semi-final, with the fixture against Freiburg taking place on Wednesday, May 20, just four days before the last Premier League fixture of the season.
