Bahrain says suspects linked to IRGC arrested

Bahrain’s interior ministry said authorities have arrested an unspecified number of people alleged to have “close links” to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, with some facing espionage-related accusations.

The announcement follows a decision by Bahrain in late April to revoke the citizenship of 69 people accused of supporting Iranian attacks against the country.

Authorities alleged those affected had shown support for Iran and were “colluding with foreign entities”.
