Manchester City fought from 3-1 down to claim a point at Everton on Monday night, with Jeremy Doku’s 96th minute equaliser earning a share of the spoils – but it handed Arsenal the advantage in the title race
Jeremy Doku has warned Arsenal that the title race is far from over. And the Manchester City star insists Pep Guardiola’s men will fight to death in a bid to regain their Premier League crown.
City suffered a huge blow to their hopes of becoming champions, after dropping two crucial points at Everton on Monday night.
Guardiola’s side needed a last gasp strike from Doku to salvage a point from the thrilling 3-3 draw. The result leaves City five points behind Arsenal, albeit with a game in hand.
But despite Mikel Arteta’s side now holding the advantage with three games remaining, Doku insists City will never give up hope of beating their rivals to the finishing post.
Doku said: “It hurts. Obviously it hurts. We know how important it is to win those types of games.
“But we did not give up, and we are not going to give up. There are still some games. We are going to fight until the end – and at the end we will count the points. (We are) disappointed, but it is not over. We are not going to give up. We are going to recover, take the positives, take the negatives and work on it.
“It’s still not over. We are going to focus on the next game and try to do our best.”

Doku’s comments come after Guardiola admitted they have no margin for error.
“We need to win our games,” Guardiola said. “Now it is not in our hands.
“If they win their games the title will be for Arsenal. Now have to win our next game, we have to recover well for a series of games, and this is what we have to do.”

“It’s better the point than no point, but it (would be) better to win the game that we needed,” Guardiola said.
“I know it was in our hands and in Arsenal’s hands as well, it depended on goal (difference). Now it’s not, but we have a responsibility. We play Brentford on Saturday and we continue and we will see what happens.
“Better effort cannot be possible. The message is the same as the day before. We have four games left and a final – win the games. That is the message. We play for that, even with difficulties for many reasons.”
