Israeli officials say tensions with Iran may serve strategic aims

Israeli Broadcasting Corporation cited a security official as saying escalating tensions with Iran “serves the interests of all parties” seeking renewed confrontation.

Reports from Channel 12 and Israel Hayom also said assessments indicate Iran currently has no intention of attacking Israel.

The report said that Israeli forces have increased alert levels, particularly in air defence systems and the air force, while Ben Gurion Airport has been placed on alert.

According to the reports, military planners have also prepared a range of potential targets in Iran, including energy facilities and civilian infrastructure, amid ongoing uncertainty.
