US Central Command (Centcom) said in a post to X on Monday that two US-flagged merchant vessels have transited safely through the Strait of Hormuz with assistance from US Navy guided-missile destroyers operating in the Gulf.
This comes after Iranian media claimed that a US ship was forced to turn around after Iranian forces fired warning shots in its direction.
