Twisted 'Scissor Sister' who chopped up mum's lover while 'out of it' on booze and drugs freed

Charlotte Mulhall, who brutally killed her mum’s lover and dumped part of his body in a canal, is reportedly ready to make a ‘new start’ as she is given day release from prison

An evil ‘Scissor Sister’ who killed her mother’s lover claimed she is a changed woman as she adapts to life outside of prison.

Charlotte Mulhall, 44, was thrown behind bars for over 20 years for killing her mum Kathleen’s Kenyan lover Farah Swaleh Noor, 38, in a horrific attack. She slit his throat with a blade after he made a pass at her sister Linda at their Dublin home in March 20, 2005, and they were drunk and high on ecstasy at the time.

Mulhall is now being freed from jail on temporary release for a half or full day over the next few months, as she adapts to being free.

After the brutal attack, the sisters cut up the dead man’s body in their bathroom with a bread knife before putting most of his remains in a suitcase. They dumped it in the Royal Canal, where it was found 10 days later, reports the Irish Mirror.

The ‘Scissor Sisters’ buried the man’s head separately and reburied it in several spots after getting on a bus to Tallaght, south Dublin, but Noor’s head has never been discovered. Mulhall, a mother-of-one, has kept out of trouble in Limerick Prison in recent years and is now being let out under licence from the Independent Probation Board.

It is understood the killer has expressed deep remorse for the horrendous crime, according to the Irish Mirror. A prison source reportedly said: “Charlotte Mulhall has a lot of regrets and very few memories of what happened that night because she was so out of it on the booze and the drugs.

“She feels she has served her time and is grateful to get a second chance in life. She was incarcerated at a very young age and now has a real opportunity to put this shocking period of her life behind her, and make a new start.”

Her sister Linda Mulhall was released in 2018 after she served a 15-year sentence for manslaughter. The mother-of-four, a former heroin addict has kept out of trouble and has reportedly left the past behind her.

It is not known where the 44-year-old will live when she is let out later this summer and if she will return to Dublin. The mum-of-one would not be able to leave the UK without special permission, as she is being released on parole.

The prison insider added: “She will be released under the supervision of the Independent Parole Board on parole and they will be constantly checking up on her. She is being given all these day releases just like any other lifer coming to the end of their sentence so that she can adjust to life on the outside.

“She will probably hope to get a job and somewhere discreet to stay. She will be given help by the Probation Service to get back on her feet. The sentence she received is for life and if she breaks any of the terms of her release she will be immediately sent back to jail.”

Mulhall has reportedly been given a release date with the source added they expect the killer to be out fully “by the end of the summer at the latest”.
