Stefon Diggs’ former chef made a shock claim that she had an intimate relationship with the NFL star prior to an alleged assault that took place last year.
A tearful Jamila Adams testified in Dedham District Court, Massachusetts, on Monday afternoon during her trial against former Patriots star Diggs.
During her testimony, Adams detail her ‘complicated’ history with the four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, which began as a sexual relationship prior to her being hired.
When asked about how she would describe her relationship with Diggs, Adams said: ‘I would say it’s complicated.
‘It started out as friends and became sexual and we would meet up, hang out and we decided I would come work for him in February of 2025.’
Adams claims that she then moved in with the NFL star and would cook meals for him – earning $2,000 a week – while Diggs stepped up his recovery from an injury.

She claims that she lived with Diggs from July until December last year, before their relationship broke down over claims that Adams had been spreading information about the NFL star allegedly sleeping with another female staff member.
Adams alleges that Diggs then confronted her over the matter, before being told that she could not accompany the wide receiver on a trip to Miami due to the issue.
The star’s former chef then detailed the alleged attack, where she claimed that Diggs entered her bedroom, slapped her and put her in a headlock.
‘When I went up to block him, he took his arm and came around my neck with his elbow around my neck and began to choke me,’ Adams told the court.
Adams claims that she then packed her bags and left for a trip to New York, but not before giving the NFL star birthday gifts prior to leaving.
Diggs, meanwhile, maintains that the alleged attack never happened.
Andrew Kettlewell, who is representing Diggs, told the court: ‘The assault that the Commonwealth described in their opening statement never happened. It did not happen.’ Diggs, who is currently a free agent, pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
The NFL star declined to speak to reporters as he made his way into Norfolk County District Court in Dedham, a Boston suburb.

He signed a three-year, $69million contract with New England last year and was a key target for quarterback Drake Maye during their run to the Super Bowl, where they suffered defeat to the Seattle Seahawks.
Before joining the Patriots, Diggs was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2015 and played for the Buffalo Bills before a brief stint with the Houston Texans in 2024.
His 1,000-yard season with the Patriots marked the seventh of his career. It helped complete a successful career revival after a season-ending knee injury derailed what turned out to be a one-year stay in Houston.
Diggs, who led the team with 85 receptions and 1,013 yards receiving with four touchdowns in his only season with the Patriots, was released by the team in March amid the controversy surrounding his personal life and is yet to join a new team.
As well as the legal battle with his former chef, last year the 32-year-old was also hit with bombshell allegations from an influencer who accused him of intentionally drugging, making unwanted sexual advances towards and later conspiring to kill him.
Diggs responded in November by suing the online star, whose name is Christopher Griffith, for defamation after alleging that he concocted a lurid tale.
Griffith, who countersued him in response to the defamation lawsuit, levied a fresh legal challenge against Diggs, in a court filing reviewed by the Daily Mail last month.
The ex-Patriots player has also had relationship troubles in recent months after splitting from rapper Cardi B.

The couple welcomed a baby boy together in November 2025 before going their separate ways just months later, with the relationship appearing to end acrimoniously.
The split reportedly came a ‘few days’ before Diggs suffered defeat at Super Bowl LX in San Francisco on February 8.
Cardi, encouraged by friends, is said to have called it quits after Diggs alleged ‘betrayed her so many times.’
She first raised eyebrows when she delivered a frosty pregame message to the football star before the Super Bowl.
