Players and coaches of Sporting Lagos FC are preparing themselves tactically for Monday’s first match of the 2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super-4 by watching videos of their opponent’s past games, Sports247 gathered.
The team that has ace-journalist-turned administrator Godwin Enakhena as chairman is set to tango Ranchers Bees of Kaduna at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, where one of their preparation points is watching videos of their opponent.

This much was disclosed by Sporting’s coach, Buter Jeffrey, who told Sports247 that he prepares his squad both on and off the pitch, in order to get variius perspectives of a game’s lijely outcome.
He further pointed out that the Lagos-based private-owned club also has a strong sense of self-belief, considering that the players all know the solid quality they are made of.
The tactician from Benue State added the team is equally using the Super-4 to plan ahead of their campaign back in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), hence their determination to do well in this four-team competition that begins this Monday.
Jeffrey said at length, “We are a solid team, and we keep working hard. We believe in what we are building now, and we know what we can do.
“We believe in ourselves, and we trust the work that we are doing. Hopefully, we’ll give the fans a better season next time out than we did this term.
“Before then, we want to compete well in this Super-4 competition. We want to do well in every game we play, regardless of what is at stake.
“We build a culture in which we take every game seriously. We have three games to play, and we’ll take them one game at a time.
“The first is on Monday, and we’ll face that one before the next, then see how it goes. We’ve seen the opponents’ videos, and we have analysed some of the clips that we watched.
“We’ll study everything again a few hours to kick-off and then see what we can come up with. After that, we’ll see how the game will go,” said the Sporting Lagos coach.
