Afeniforo’s journey in the sport has been nothing short of remarkable. Having only begun competitive armwrestling in 2025, she announced herself at the national level by winning two gold medals in the 65kg senior women’s category at her debut championship. Since then, her rapid rise has been driven by discipline, consistency, and a clear competitive focus.

One of the defining moments of her campaign in Accra came against a long-time rival from Benin Republic, whom she had previously lost to in Abuja. This time, Afeniforo turned the tables with a commanding performance, underlining her growth and determination.

Speaking after her triumph, she expressed gratitude and satisfaction with her achievement. “I am grateful to God and happy to have won four gold medals. It was a mission accomplished,” she said. She credited her success to consistent training and the support of her coaching crew.

Looking ahead, Afeniforo has set her sights on the African Games, where she hopes to replicate her gold-winning form.

She also revealed her commitment to the sport, stating that her focus remains solely on armwrestling as she continues her development.

With ambitions of competing at the World Armwrestling Games in the future, Afeniforo’s latest success marks another significant step in what is shaping up to be a promising international career.
